In 2041, a cult named the Red Dawn tried to reunite the dead with the living, and sought to break the veil between the dead and the living. They conducted an ancient and forbidden ritual, using Celtic magic that had been hidden for centuries. They gathered at an ancient burial ground with standing stones they believed to be a gateway between worlds. The ritual required powerful sacrifices and blood offerings, but every member of the cult was ready to die for their cause. Upon completion of the ritual, the veil between the living and the dead was torn, but it was not how the Red Dawn had expected it. The creatures that came into the world of the living, were the sluagh - hosts of the unforgiven dead.2043, two years after the sluaghs have entered the realm of the living, hope starts to rise anew, hope of a world where the sluaghs return to their lands. With the celtic shield knot people started to try to protect themselves from those evil spirits, but couldn't keep away raiders or people that wanted to claim territory. Once the sluaghs started to control the mind of people, all hope of a better world vanished in thin air. Now they had to worry about turning into feral beings that craved human flesh. And there was no way to stop any of this.

THE SLUAGH

The Sluagh are hosts of the unforgiven dead in Irish and Scottish folklore. These spirits, once human souls, are condemned to roam the earth after death, denied entry to both heaven and hell. Due to the veil having collapsed, the sluagh managed to come to the land of the living, causing panic and terror. They bring sickness, despair, and death wherever they go. They corrupt the minds of the living, turning their victims into feral, flesh eating beings. Once a sluagh starts corruption, a person loses their humanity, until they turned into a sluagh feasting on human flesh.The sluagh are hiding within the bodies of mortal souls, managing to keep up a normal appearance. However, their eyes are glassy/white, and their teeth sharp. Once they lure you in, they will reveal their true selves.

THE RED DAWN

The Red Dawn have radical beliefs about life, death, and power. They believed in an ancient prophecy that spoke of a time when the living and dead would reunite. Iain Callach, the leader of the Red Dawn, saw himself to be the chosen one destined to bring about this new era, and led his cult down a dark path. They did not realize the devastation their actions would cause upon the whole world.Their symbol is Ian Callach, the leader of the Red Dawn.
No one knows if they have a place to live, but if people knew, then the Red Dawn would have been eradicated years ago.

THE SURVIVORS

The survivors are those, who pray that this evil will return to their lands, that there is a way to rebuild that veil and banish the sluaghs from the world of the living. Many have already died, everyone is living in fear. But there is still hope, hope for a future where the sluaghs return to their lands. With the celtic shield knot the Survivors hope to keep the evil away from their home - but not all evil is from the veil.Their symbol is the celtic tree of life.
They are scattered all over Ireland, some have made it to Scotland but were never seen again.
